The services sought are for the provision of an electronic system for collection of cash payments from L&Q Residents using swipe magnetic stripe cards through payment terminals in retail outlets. In addition, L&Q Residents will be issued with bar-coded bills as an alternative to swipe cards.
The equipment to be supplied consists of swipe magnetic stripe cards to be issued to L&Q Residents and the technology to convert the payment information into L&Q’s finance system.
L&Q are now examining the market to ensure that they continue to deliver an effective Payment Receiving Service for the Trust’s residents whilst reducing or minimising ongoing transaction costs throughout the period of any future contract.
