Funding and commercial pressures on Scottish Canals make it imperative that it only works with companies who can provide quality services within the constraints of time and cost. The ability to deal effectively with security guarding management and to provide effective cost control is of critical importance to Scottish Canals. Therefore, we are looking for a company that can demonstrate management competence in the delivery of this Contract as well as the ability to deal with normal day to day security management activities and the management of dealing with any emergency situation that may arise that requires prompt action.
The successful contractor will work with Scottish Canals to ensure the security of specified operational properties on the Lowland Canal network and potentially with CCTV linkage to other canals out with the central belt area. A secondary function will be to provide ad hoc security guarding services for small scale site works and work boats when required.
In delivering a Security Contract, the Contractors shall play a key role in supporting Scottish Canals vision for the future shape of the waterway network.
