II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) wishes to set up a purchasing framework for the purchase and installation of solar PV across multiple sites for rolling period over multiple years. At this stage the contract value is estimated from between GBP 100k and GBP 400k over a 4 year period. These figures are for information only and there is no guarantee of the volume or value of contracts will be awarded.
There is no guarantee that contracts will be awarded under this framework.
At this stage the framework will focus on installations in schools and academies however CBC reserves the right to open the framework up to a wider building scope at a later date. The scope of this framework includes other building installations where the council has an interest this will also be open to other neighbouring authorities who may access the framework via CBC. Initially it is expected that the focus will be on CBC schools and academies.
At this stage we will be looking at individual installations of no larger than 50 kWp, with a focus on installations appropriate for the needs of schools.
There will be between 3 and 5 suppliers on the framework. The length of the contract will be 2 years + 1 year + 1 year.
