II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

This contract is to provide both service and maintenance of solid fuel heating systems and appliances to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
The key outputs are as follows:
The Supplier will deliver the following which will mean that the Client is compliant with all legal requirements and recommendations in respect of the solid fuel appliances:
1. Servicing:
— Annual safety inspection and servicing of all solid fuel appliances,
— 88 in the Northern Lot and 473 in the Southern Lot,
— Annual provision of safety certificate,
— All appliances will have a safety certificate not more than 12 months old,
— All safety certificates must be provided to the Client within 2 business days of completion,
— Servicing and maintenance of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
2. Repairs and maintenance:
— Out-of-hour’s repairs service which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days per year,
— Planned repairs and maintenance will be delivered by the Supplier,
— Responsive repairs, maintenance and out of hours service will be delivered in line with Bromford priorities with the Supplier being able to attend and fix (or at the very least make safe) within the following priority time scales:
i. Immediate = 2 hour response time,
ii. Emergency = 24 hour response time,
iii. Appointable (including completion of associated works) = 8.5 day response/completion time.
The Supplier is required to deliver the services in accordance with all requirements as set out in the specification.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 710 000 GBP

Description of these options: This estimated value is intended to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated from the Contract. The Contracting Authority is not bound by this estimate and may buy more or less. There is no obligation for the Contracting Authority to place any orders under the Contract. As an indication the Contract is expected to commence on 1.10.2015 and will be for a period of 5 years until 30.9.2020 with the option to extend for up to a further 5 years (extensions on an annual basis) until 30.9.2025.
