Gateshead Council is implementing a Standing List of Contractors for the purposes of selection for individual forestry and grounds maintenance works projects which are valued at less than the EU threshold.

- Gateshead Council is implementing a Standing List of Contractors for the purposes of selection for individual forestry and grounds maintenance works projects which are valued at less than the EU threshold.
Organisations wishing to be invited to tender for all future forestry and grounds maintenance work opportunities under the EU threshold with the Council must be included on the Standing List of Contractors and Sub-contractors.
Organisations MUST also be Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) registered either on application for inclusion on the list or at the latest within 2 months of the date of inclusion on the list. This is a requirement for inclusion on Lots 1 – 6. This is not a requirement for organisation who apply for inclusion on Lot 7 only.
The lots covered are;
1 – Rural Path Construction and Maintenance
2 – Rural Fencing – including timber and wire fencing
3 – Tree Work – including felling, thinning and planting
4 – Agricultural Works – including grass cutting, strimming, baling and seeding, schools grounds maintenance
5 – General Conservation Works – including boardwalks, digging ponds & ditches, construction of steps etc.
6 – Ecological Consultant Work – including wildlife surveys
7 – Sport Pitch Marking
The Standing List will allow the addition of new Organisations who meet the specified criteria throughout its lifetime.
