II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

East Renfrewshire Council is currently inviting tenders, from suitably qualified companies for the appointment of a strategic partner to assist build of business intelligence solution using SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Suite.
The anticipated start date for the contract is no later than December 2015 or, the council may confirm another start date as detailed in an official letter of acceptance. The contract award offered is for a period up to 24 months. The Council reserves the right to offer two further extension periods of up to 12 months.
The following provides estimated total budgets per lot for this contract. These are indicative figures only with no guarantee given with regards to the Council’s overall uptake of any resulting contract.
Lot 1 — 170 000
Lot 2 — 70 000
Lot 3 — 40 000
Lot 4 — 30 000
The Council reserves the right to spend up to 600 000 GBP in the lifetime of this contract should any additional funding become available. This sum is not guaranteed.
This contract will be offered under a lotted Framework Agreement. Tenderers responding to this opportunity can bid for 1 or multiple lots. Award will be made to the tenderer ranking number 1 in each lot.
It should be noted that lots 2, 3 and 4 are dependent upon the Council awarding Lot 1. Following award onto any lot the Council cannot guarantee any level of business.

— Deploy an appropriate system architecture providing capability to scale upwards and supporting failover.
