The Contractor will give to each of Slough Borough Council, Reading Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council in respect of that part of the Service to be performed within the area of each such party, a performance bond in the form set out in the Service Information for a sum equivalent to ten per cent (10 %) of the amount shown in the Price List relating to Slough Borough Council, Reading Borough Council or Wokingham Borough Council.

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: Evidence of economic and financial standing and technical competence will be required as defined in pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). There will be some pass/fail criteria contained within the PQQ. Candidates who do not demonstrate compliance with any of the pass/fail criteria will be excluded from the procurement exercise. Based on the selection criteria which will be contained in the PQQ, the contracting authority will short list up to a maximum of 8 candidates according to the scoring scheme who will be taken through to the invitation to tender (ITT) stage.

Slough Borough Council is acting as lead authority only insofar as it is carrying out this procurement exercise in accordance with the terms of an agreement between Reading Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council. For the avoidance of doubt this notice stands for all these parties. The award of this contract is dependent upon an agreement being in place.
The lead authority intends to use an e-Tendering system in this procurement exercise and will be using the SE Shared Services e-Sourcing portal to carry out this procurement process under reference SBC -001233. In order to be considered for this tendering opportunity you are required to register on the South East Shared Services e-Sourcing portal. This is a separate website which can be accessed athttp://www.sesharedservices.org.uk/esourcing which gives full information as to how to register on SE Shared Services e-Sourcing portal and express an interest in this contracting opportunity in order to access all the relevant procurement documents.
