The purpose of this contract is to appoint a ‘maximum’ of 4 suitably qualified and experienced Contractors onto a Framework to complete the following:
The works will be at separate locations as described in the Scheme Specific Works Information, located anywhere within the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. Individual works or schemes will vary in size between a single item work request to the delivery of larger schemes or programmes of work. Values of such works/schemes could vary between 0 GBP up to a maximum value of 100 000 GBP. There will be no minimum or maximum guaranteed value of work per annum or throughout the full duration of the contract to any Contractor included on the framework.
The following lists provides and outline of the anticipated work type to be undertaken under the proposed contract (note, this list is generalised and not exhaustive):

— Associated civil engineering works including ducting and chambers.
— Planned maintenance activities including electrical test and inspection.
— Demand maintenance activities.
— Provision of plant and labour.
— Associated Traffic Management.
— Street Works Noticing.
Works will be called off against the framework on the following basis:
Following the identification of an item or ‘basket’ of work, the quantities will be entered into a spreadsheet containing the priced schedules from all approved Contractors. The works shall be awarded (in the first instance) to the Contractor which would offer the lowest price to deliver the works.
In the event the lowest priced Contractor cannot deliver the requested work in time-scales requested, then the second lowest priced Contractor shall be invited to deliver the works, and so on.
In the event that there are large volumes of work which require delivery, multiple Contractors on the framework may be awarded a split of the work, again based upon the lowest price first, followed by availability.
