Description

As part of the St Peters tower block refurbishment project, all tenants currently living in flats being refurbished have needed to move to temporary accommodation. Leicester City Council has currently made arrangements for their mail to be collected from Royal Mail and make it available for them to collect it from the local area office at St Peters. This facility will soon cease. Therefore a decision has been made to install mailboxes at suitable location where the mail could be delivered to individual mailboxes which relate to each flat. Tenants will then be able to access their own lockable mailbox to collect their mail.

Specification

The requirement is to supply and fit 90 Horizontal mailboxes, ideally in columns of 10, to the following specification:

•must have front entry and front retrieval

•must be supplied with visible mailbox numbers

•mailboxes to be supplied with lockable doors providing a minimum of 3 keys per mailbox

•must have the ability to order replacement keys should the need arise.

•must be capable of accepting A4 size mail landscape (360mm wide). It is expected that the approximate aperture size will be 235mm x 30mm.

•mailboxes are to be supplied, delivered and securely installed where required by the council.

•must be suitable for outdoor installation so mailboxes are to be weather and vandal resistant

•to be free standing on supports posts capable of being bolted down into concrete ground.

•must have the ability to order replacement keys and spare parts should the need arise.
