II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The purpose of this tender exercise is to appoint one or more suppliers to framework agreements for the provision of a wide range of high quality ‘University of Leicester’ branded products. The University’s requirement for branded goods originates from two sources. Firstly there is a general ad-hoc demand across the Colleges and Professional Services. This requirement is largely for promotional goods used for the Open Days and events which lead up to the start of term. The second source is the University’s bookshop (the ‘Shop’) which sells a range of corporate gifts and University of Leicester (UoL) branded clothing.
All items supplied must comply with the University’s visual guidelines and strict corporate ID. Compliance with this requirement is monitored by the University’s Creative Team.
The framework agreement(s) awarded following this procurement exercise will be valid for a period of 3 years with an option, subject to the agreement of the parties, to extend for 1 further year.
To reflect the nature of the market and the differing requirements of end users it has been decided to split this requirement into 2 lots:
1) Promotional items.
2) Branded Clothing.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: The University will carry out an independent financial check on all Tenderers using Experian software. In the event that an Applicant’s financial stability equates to a commercial credit rating of less than 50 out of 100 on the day that the ITT is evaluated, and/or that following evaluation of the documents submitted in support of their ITT, if there remained any financial concerns which could not reasonably be satisfied, then their application would fail.
Further details of the evaluation requirement for evaluating financial standing are contained in the ITT document, Section 4.
Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required: The University will carry out an independent financial check on all Tenderers using Experian software.
