II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
TMBC is looking for the supply of the Fitness Equipment specified in the contract documents as a minimum to be delivered by 24.12.2012 and 5 years servicing. The servicing will be carried out twice each year inclusive of labour and parts. The Supplier may offer additional items of equipment within the maximum budget figure of 350 000 GBP.
The Council is requesting a buy-back price for existing equipment which will not be evaluated as part of the tender evaluation but which the Council in its absolute discretion may accept in writing.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 350 000 GBP

Options: yes
Description of these options: The Council is requesting the Supplier’s prices to be paid to the Council for the buy back of the existing equipment at each centre which the Council may chose to accept in respect of all or any item(s) of equipment in its absolute discretion and will confirm in writing its position. These prices will not be evaluated as part of the overall tender and are discretionary only.
Suppliers may offer additional items of equipment above the mandatory list in the contract documents which shall be separately priced and which the Council may in its absolute discretion decide to purchase. These will not form part of the evaluation.

Description of particular conditions: The successful supplier shall have in place for the duration of the Contract to be awarded public liability insurance in the minimum sum of 5 000 000 GBP and Employers Liability insurance in the minimum sum of 10 000 000 GBP. The conditions of contract which will apply to the contract contain social and environmental conditions for compliance with the Workforce matters Code and the Equality Act 2010.
