Supply of Emergency Aid training
None
To provide 10 x one day (detailed induction style) and 24 x half day (refresher) emergency aid courses, primarily aimed at people providing health and social care services across Barnsley.  The half day courses will be delivered AM and PM so this will equate to 12 days of training.  The learning must include theoretical and practical work and include the following areas as a minimum:

Actions at the scene of an emergency; Legislation; Responsibilities; Aims of First Aid; Primary Survey; Secondary Survey; Recovery Position; Contacting Emergeny Services; The Respiratory System; Seizures; Minor Burns and Scalds; Sprains and Stains; Wounds, Bleeding and Fractures; Resuscitation; Action for Choking Emergency and Hygiene Control:

Courses should include appropriate testing (accreditation not essential but desirable)

NB:  It is accepted that the half day courses may contain less detail than the whole of the above.

We would also prefer the learning to include robust post course resources to act as an aide memoire and signposting to additional guidance.

Maximum group sizes will be expected to be betweeen 12 (induction) and 16 (refresher).  Venues will be provided by BMBC.
