Development of resources to support parents learn Gaelic

Description of the goods or services required

Project Brief: Production and development of Gaelic language resources which will support and enable parents and families to learn and use Gaelic with their children.

– The resource should aim to develop a Gaelic register of common language, phrases and words that parents and families could learn, use, and reinforce at home with their children.

– The resource will introduce parents and families to simple, relevant everyday language, vocabulary and activities that can be used with young babies and children in the home.

– The resource will support parents in learning simple language and link with Gaelic songs, rhymes, activities and daily routines to reinforce the Gaelic phrases and vocabulary being learned.

– The resource will be developed in a format that will be easily transferred onto LearnGaelic.net and Gaelic4Parents.com

– The resource will be available for download

The submission will detail:

– the process the tenderer would adopt to deliver the specification

– the knowledge and experience of any person(s) who would be involved in resource development

The successful applicant will work closely with a project steering group, provide monthly updates and participate in development meetings.
