Description of the goods or services required

Following a review and evaluation of a number of competing SSL VPN solutions, NHS Fife have identified that it wishes to procure two Juniper Pulse Gateway 4610 appliances, supporting up to 1000 users each to provide resilience, with licences for 75 simultaneous users (where bundles exist, quotes should be on the basis of achieving this number of users in the most economic manner), and Juniper Care next day onsite support. In addition, NHS Fife will require the professional services of the successful supplier to provide installation, configuration and knowledge transfer/training to NHS Fife eHealth staff. In addition to the knowledge transfer/training detailed in the requirements above, suppliers should suggest what training courses they recommend, and supply pricing for two members of staff.

2 x Juniper Junos Pulse Gateway Base System (MAG4610) appliances – up to 1000 users;

1 x Add 75 simultaneous users to Juniper Junos Pulse Gateway X600 series appliances;

2x Juniper Care next day onsite support for MAG4610 up to 75 users, including RADIUS server feature licences;

As required – Professional Services to include installation & configuration for 2 x Juniper Junos Pulse Gateway 4610 Base System appliances, with 75 simultaneous licences including policy configuration and knowledge transfer/hand-over training for 2 x NHS Fife eHealth 3rd line technical staff to allow them to operate & configure the solution. Suppliers should indicate what topics they intend to cover during the knowledge transfer/hand-over training;

2 x Solution training courses for technical staff, as recommended by the supplier.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Suppliers should be accredited partners/resellers for Juniper Networks, and have installation engineers who are fully conversant/certifed for the deployment and handover of Juniper SSL VPN appliance-based solutions.
