Advance is a registered provider of accommodation to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. We work nationally and provide services from Lincolnshire to the South Coast, and Kent through to Cornwall.

Accommodation ranges from 3/4 bed shared homes, one bedroomed homes and some larger schemes with 8 or more homes where there could be 24 hour support colleagues on site. The purpose of this contract is to provide cleaning, including window cleaning in communal areas.

This tender is offered in 8 Lots, Bidders have the opportunity to apply for 1 or more lots.

Cleaning for the Spec can include:

Sweep – Remove surface debris and litter

Mop / scrub clean – Clean hard floor surface

Vacuum carpeted floors and stairs – ensuring that the cleaned surface is free from visible dust and fluff.

Entrance, Barrier and Link Matting – Clean any entrance mats

Skirting Banisters/Spindles – Damp wipe to remove dust, stains and marks

Walls/Ceilings and Doors

Wash down walls and ceilings. Glass surfaces to be cleaned using suitable method. Include cleaning around and behind Service Pipes and Ducts. Ensure Ceilings are free from dust and cobwebs.

Cleaning Ledges and Fittings

Clean all surfaces, including radiators, window sills, door frames, lift panels, switches, fire extinguishers etc. Clean metal work inc buff finish. Wash and clean Light diffuser shades.

Clean Doors – including finger and kick plates and glazing.

Bathroom

Generally – Clean the surface with the most appropriate cleaning solution for that material i.e stainless steel treated with an approved special purpose cleaner. All areas must be hygienically cleaned to prevent the build-up of uric acid, rust or other stains on any surface. Including Mirrors.

Wash Basins and Sinks, Showers and Baths – The surfaces of the appliances, taps and SHOWER head are to be washed with hot water and germicidal detergent, rinsed and buffed dry. DE-SCALE where necessary.

Water Testing – this is an option additional service.

WC’s – The insides of WC pans are to be scrubbed down. Particular attention is to be paid to WC traps and flushing rims. If necessary the germicidal detergent may be supplemented with non-abrasive or mildly abrasive cleaning cream or paste.

The outside of WC pans and seats are to be washed. Particular attention is to be given to the back of the pan and seat hinges. Seats are to be dry polished after cleaning. Solid tablets of “freshener” are to be replenished.

Clean Toilet Roll Holders and replace toilet rolls as necessary. Clean Sanitary Towel disposal Units.

Kitchen/Utility Rooms inside surfaces of sink units, kitchen units, laundry equipment, draining boards, taps etc – The outside surfaces of the units and appliances generally are to be washed down with hot water and neutral detergent.

Fridge/freezers – The outside surfaces of the units and appliances generally are to be washed down.

Wash Basins and Sinks, Showers and Baths – The surfaces of the appliances, taps and SHOWER head are to be washed with hot water and germicidal detergent, rinsed and buffed dry. DE-SCALE where necessary. Water testing included as an optional extra for the bidder.

WC’s – The insides of WC pans are to be scrubbed down. Particular attention is to be paid to WC traps and flushing rims. If necessary the germicidal detergent may be supplemented with non-abrasive or mildly abrasive cleaning cream or paste.
