Lot No: 1 Lot title: Raw material.

1)Short description:
The escalator track components will include straight sections up to 6 metres long.
The track shall comprise of various sections ranging from flat bar to ‘H’ section.
Extruded and cold drawn processes will be required to produce various sections of track and the 6 metre long material will require machining to achieve the finished dimensional tolerances.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Machined Tracks
1)Short description:
The escalator tracking system comprises of general machining of 6 metre long tracks.
The material will be resourced locally or free issued in the case of extruded material.
The manufacturing processes will consist of drilling, welding and general machining.
Tracks for the lower and upper curves will require forming to nominally 30° up to 6 metres long.

1)Short description:
The escalator track components comprises of cast ferrous track sections, typically from 0,5 – 2 metres long and 0,3m high.
Patterns will be required, these shall be produced by reverse engineering drawings of the final production components.
Track components will be required to be machined to final production drawings following casting.

This is Tube Lines Limited’s last call for competition i.e., this notice is a call for competition in accordance with.
Directive 2004/17/EC. It is not intended that any further call for competition be made although Tube Lines.
Limited reserves the right to place further calls at its sole discretion.
This is a request for expressions of interest only, pre-qualification documents may be issued to all parties who.
Express an interest.Suppliers must indicate clearly for which lots or lots they are expressing an interest.
Interested parties should also note:
— Tube Lines Limited‘s conditions of contract will apply. Full details will be included in the Invitation to Tender Document,
— The contract and any matters, including the disputes, arising out of it will be subject to English Law and the Exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts,
— Tube Lines Limited does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and further reserves the right to award part or the whole of this tender,
— Registration of interest in this project by any party does not guarantee inclusion of the party on the tender enquiry list.
