NIE Networks wishes to procure the services of a suitably qualified and competent service provider for the supply of ground maintenance services to all NIE Networks premises throughout Northern Ireland.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The requirement for Grounds Maintenance will be divided into 5 lots. NIE reserve the right to award either by Option 1 — Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3, Lot 4 and Lot 5 separately. Option 2 More than 1 lot. Option 3 — All lots. NIE will choose whichever option offers the greatest opportunity to deliver costs and efficiency savings. In anticipation of NIE deciding on any of the above options, and in order to mitigate the risk of being excluded from the competition for not participating in a required Lot, tenderers are encouraged to compete for all Lots. This contract shall be established for an initial period of 5 years, but contains an option (exercisable exclusively by NIE at their discretion) to extend the contract by up to a further 2 years (7 in total). The estimated figures given are based on the maximum 5 year contract period.
