It is the intention of the Council to divide these goods and services requirements into 2 lots as follows:
Lot 1 – the supply of home delivered frozen meals.
Lot 2 – the supply only of frozen meals.
This contract will be managed by the assistant director city services, catering and cleaning services. It is the intention that this contract will provide service users with a range of meal delivery options and menu choices that will their needs. The Council seeks a flexible and responsive service and the contract is divided into 2 lots to facilitate this.

1)Short description
The Council operates a 52 week meals on Wheels Service to residents within the City of Wolverhampton and provision of a meals service to a number of day centres. The provision of meals is based on the use of regenerated, commercially manufactured, and individually packed frozen meals which comprise of a main course meal supplied in at least a two-part foil container with a dessert. The meals are regenerated in Council vehicles.
The service will be managed by the assistant director, city services, catering and cleaning services, who are the current contractor for the supply of ‘meals on wheels’.
