The specification aims to ensure that the equipment is appropriate for current and anticipated future requirements and will integrate with existing and newly supplied NM imaging equipment to provide the Nuclear Medicine service with enhanced capabilities and future resilience.
Equipment supplied for the clinical aspects of the system will be used at sites across Sheffield to support a wide range of specialist NM image processing requirements and a NM image review system to support the needs of the NM service and wider trust. The supplied system will also replace the existing Nuclear Medicine image archive to maintain current archived records and provide storage for a further 5 years.
Additionally a development platform to facilitate in-house image processing development is also required. Ideally this will be integrated with the routine clinical image processing system but standalone development systems will also be considered.
