If a Tenderer is unable to manufacture sacks complying with the specified sack properties, tolerances and performance criteria along with an explanation of said variations are to be submitted with the tender. Tenderers may submit for consideration one or more additional tenders based on alternative specifications as well as submitting a compliant tender. Additional tenders may include variations in sack design and packaging but sack quality and performance should not be diminished when tested for compliance with the specified performance criteria.
The Council’s current estimated annual requirements are:
— 2 800 000 black residual waste sacks per annum;
— 4 200 000 clear mixed dry recyclate sacks per annum.
