The Agency is seeking to improve its incident response capability by increasing its stock of temporary flood defences. These defences may be used in a variety of flooding incidents and will form an essential part of our flood incident response. The Agency is seeking to award a contract to a single supplier of temporary flood barriers, with a minimum barrier height of 1.8 m, that consist of metal frames with impermeable membranes or sections spanning between them, to supply between 0 km and 3 km of these flood barriers, depending upon available budget.
The supplier will be required to supply all fittings, fixings and consumables to permit uncompromised deployment and operation of the equipment throughout its life. The equipment is stored at a network of depots distributed around England.
