Network Rail (NR) requires the manufacture and supply of tensioning systems, in order to meet the needs of its internal and external customers for the works.
The purpose of Tensioning Systems is to maintain constant mechanical tension to the main conductors of the overhead contact system throughout its design temperature range.
Tenderers will be required to supply different types of Tensioning Systems to suit NR’s existing and proposed new electrification, based on sprung or weighted systems for 25 kv AC electrified overhead line systems.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Network Rail (NR) requires the manufacture and supply of Tensioning Systems in order to meet the needs of its internal and external customers for electrified railway works in Great Britain.
The indicative volumes based on estimates of build and maintenance over the contract term range from 15 000-30 000 tensioning system. Better detail on the requirements and quantities of clamps and clips will be provided with Pre-Qualification documents.
Suppliers will be expected to work closely and in partnership with Network Rail.

Description of these options: In addition to 5 year contract period, Network Rail will retain the option to extend the contract by a period of up to 3 years.

Suppliers will be expected to comply with all instructions during the course of the tender. Any supplier who wishes to be considered for this contract must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via email for the attention of Gavin Truslove at gavin.truslove@networkrail.co.uk no later than 12:00 on 24.3.2015. Please note that a pre qualification questionnaires will be issued on 30.3.2015.
