Stafford Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for the provision and maintenance vehicles/plant to be used by the Streetscene service. The works to be covered by the contract will comprise the following items:
The supply, maintenance, repair of a range of vehicles and plant used in support of the Council services to provide Streetscene services to the Borough Council.
This procurement is split into three lots as follows:
Lot 1: provision and maintenance of specialist vehicles and plant comprising road sweepers and multi spreader which will be described within the ITT documents.
Lot 2: provision and maintenance of horticultural vehicles and plant (non specialist) which will be described within the ITT documents. This lot is to be costed as two options comprising: (1) complete supply and maintenance of all horticultural vehicles and plant, and (2) maintenance only for the horticultural vehicles and plant purchased by the Council and made available to the successful bidder for maintenance services.
Lot 3: provision and maintenance of standard vehicles and plant (non specialist) which will be described within the ITT documents. This lot is to be costed as two options comprising: (1) complete supply and maintenance of all standard vehicles and plant, and (2) maintenance only for the standard vehicles and plant purchased by the Council and made available to the successful bidder for maintenance services.
In addition the council requires the successful bidder/s to maintain a small number of existing vehicles/plant in each lot. Details will be provided in the ITT.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
Lot 1: Approximately 1 HGV multi spreader, 1 non HGV refuse collection vehicle, 5 mechanical sweepers and maintenance only of an existing trailer mounted steam cleaner.
Lot 2: Approximately 1 tractor, 1 long reach mini-digger, 8 ride on mowers and 1 chipper. In addition maintenance only for a further 22 items of vehicle and plant ranging from tractors to chippers, trailers and walk behind mowers.
Lot 3: Approximately 17 vehicles ranging from small pickup trucks, flat bed pickups (3.5 to 7.5 ton) with and without tip and tail lift and panel vans all with some with minor customization. In addition maintenance only required to six existing vehicles.
The contract is to be let for 5 years but the council may wish to extend by +1 and +1 to a maximum of 7 years.
Estimated value excluding VAT:

Description of these options: This procurement will be split into three lots and with supply and maintain in lot1 plus options for supply and maintain plus maintain only in lot 2 and lot 3. In addition there are a small number of plant and vehicles which the council wishes the successful bidder to maintain. Detail requirements will be provided in the ITT. Bidders may apply for one or more lots. The contract duration is 5 years but the Council may wish to extend by a further +1 + 1 years to a maximum of 7 years.
