Supply of additional videoconferencing units

Description of the goods or services required

Argyll and Bute Council has a requirement to replace 13 existing LifeSize room based VC systems and associated TV screens. The screens to be supplied will be required to utilise the existing VC trolley stands. Some additional peripheral cables are also required.

To facilitate an increase in performance the council is looking to migrate its existing virtualized Lifesize UVC Infrastructure to a dedicated hardware appliance including its current 10x Multipoint Flex Port Licenses and 5x UVC Manager Licenses. In line with the councils VC strategy, the Council continues to require the ability to seamless and easily manage all of its VC assets including the existing Council Chambers Lifesize ICON 600 VC unit, from the existing Lifesize UVC Platform.

Functionality must include access to the existing Lifesize UVC multipoint feature set for standards VC conferencing, Lync integration and scheduling of Video Conferencing. The Lifesize UVC Manager feature set is required for centralised address book, licence and remote management of all VC room based systems.

This will allow the council to better serve and manage VC’s on behalf of its members and other users. In addition, any supplied solution must be able to connect to the council’s existing internal bridge, hosted via Lifesize UVC Multipoint and our externally hosted bridge hosted by Videonations.

VC equipment supplied will be required to utilise existing mobile stands which have 2 shelves. Audio output from conferences must be via inbuilt display screen speakers.

The display screens will be utilised at other times for direct PC/laptop connection so must be able to support pc connectivity via vga dvi and hdmi input in addition to hdmi input from the VC unit.

All equipment supplied must include UK power plugs.
