Northumbrian Water Ltd actively promote water efficiency to their customers, this is carried out by a number of different means, 1 of which is offering products to the customer that will improve the efficiency of the water they use; as well as products which will increase the awareness of water use, within their homes and gardens. Individual items and packs are available for fitting, or for certain items by individual request, for both the home and garden. All of the potential suppliers are to provide products that meet the required approvals (WRAS approved) for each individual item where specified.
The contract length is 2 years, with the option to extend for a further year.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Northumbrian Water Ltd actively promotes water efficiency to it’s customers. Alongside, leakage reduction and metering, water efficiency is a key element in Northumbrian Water Ltd’s commitment to reduce demand. It’s Water Efficiency strategy includes numerous projects, initiatives and schemes most of which involve offering products to the customer that will improve the efficiency of the water they use in both the home and garden. Northumbrian Water has an established group of core products and this contract will encompass products which can be used to both save water and promote behaviour change associated with using water in the home and garden.
If products are required to be branded with Northumbrian Water logos and other personalised information, this will be highlighted within the specification document.
Product do not necessarily need to be used in the UK market currently but they must be fit for purpose and be able to demonstrate achievable water savings.
Additionally all products which are directly connected to a mains water supply must meet the required UK standards approval,(WRAS.). The contract will be divided into lots, broken down into specific product areas, lot details will be given with the specification documents when issued. Where current core products are indicated, product specifications will be provided during this stage of the process.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
