Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who are able to supply a variety of plants, trees and shrubs, including semi-mature trees. The successful supplier/s will be required to provide a quick turn around and be able to accommodate quick unscheduled deliveries to sites throughout the Borough of Rotherham.

The successful supplier/s will be required to provide a quick turn around and be able to accommodate quick unscheduled deliveries to sites throughout the Borough of Rotherham.

— the potential Supplier(s) will be expected to liaise with the ground maintenance, landscaping, parks and tree service teams to provide expert advice when requested,

— project planning of new schemes,

— provide high quality products including samples when/if requested,

— provide quality packaging/palletising of products including identification,

— agreeing delivery schedules of products in a satisfactory condition, with 24 hours notification.

The tender specification is for supply of seasonal bedding plants. The provision for this supply is expected to be conducted but not limited to Monday – Friday and within normal working hours.

Suppliers must work in accordance with the following specified advice and recommendations:

— BS3882:2015 Specification for Top Soil,

— BS4428: 1989 Code of Practice for general landscape operations (excluding hard surfaces),

— BS 7370-4:1993 Grounds maintenance: recommendations for maintenance of soft landscape,

— Horticultural Trade Association – National plant specification,

— Horticultural Trade Association – Plant handling,

— Certificated to British Ornamental Plant Producer Scheme or equivalent.
