Information about lots

Lot No: 1 Lot title: UHD 4K Portable Camera Network for Media Production (125 000 GBP)

1)Short description

Bringing our creative studio into the 4K era we are looking for broadcast quality cameras capable of producing datasets for researchers to work on over the next decade. Frame level synchronisation is used to enable 4D visual reconstruction and ensure coherency in resulting models. By moving to online processing of video and audio data, we shall be enabling methods for intelligent online data analysis to support on-set decision making, and data quality verification.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Maqchine Vision 4K Portable Camera Network for online Monitoring

1)Short description

Aligned with the strategy to move the algorithms developed offline for the creative industries into the healthcare and welfare fields these cameras are smaller, more discrete and offer novel challenges as we move to online processing. There is the same requirement for frame level synchronisation to enable reconstruction from multiple camera viewpoints but this time with the added complications of full portability for non-intrusive deployment in healthcare applications and online processing for continuous monitoring and logging.

Lot No: 3 Lot title: Lot 3 Online Recording and Processing from MUltiple Camera Network

1)Short description

In order to process and store the data from all the cameras in the field we require a configurable processing and storage network. Designed to take inputs from all the cameras in (1) and (2) and allow researchers to test algorithms or store data for later use, this equipment needs to be capable of reliably moving multiple 4K video streams over areas up to the size of a football field. Tying in with the work of the BBC we want to move towards an IP based infrastructure for precisely synchronised transportation of data on-set and beyond.

2)Common procurement vocabulary (CPV)

Lot No: 4 Lot title: Lot 4 Portable Human Motion Capture for Indoor and Outdoor Use

1)Short description

To verify the performance of video-based methods for analysis and monitoring of movement we also require a conventional marker-based motion capture system. This is expected to provide high-accuracy and high-sample rate movement capture across a variety of indoor and outdoor settings including the production studio, healthcare settings and outdoor spaces for sports. The system should be capable of synchronising with the camera network but function independently in capture, processing and logging of data.
