REQUEST FOR INFORMATION – Resilient SIP Trunk Solution
Introduction

LMH and Partners is looking to potentially commission a geographically diverse Session Border Controller installation (2-sites) and a total of 60 SIP Trunks spread across them.

Background

Since its’ inception, Liverpool Mutual Homes has used 60 x ISDN channels for inbound and outbound calls to and from the Nortel (Avaya) CS1000 Telephony platform. With the implementation of a disaster recovery site, LMH expanded the ISDN offering to cover a limited telephony service of 10 lines.

Brief description of requirements

Liverpool Mutual Homes now wish to move to a SIP platform that will allow greater resilience and an increased level of service whilst offering good value for money. This would be implemented at each of the datacentre sites (Liverpool L1 and Liverpool L11). In the event of a single controller becoming unavailable, the surviving SBC should take all 60 Trunks. LMH use the functionality of the BT 0800/0300 cloud and would require similar services from their SIP provider.
