The Scottish Government have asked HIAL to procure two twin-engine passenger aircraft to be operated on the Public Service Obligation (PSO) route between Glasgow (mainland Scotland) and Barra, Campbeltown and Tiree (Western Isles of Scotland). The routes are both essential and unique, serving as they do the scheduled beach landing operation on Barra in the Western Isles.
The successful tenderer will supply/manufacture 2 passenger aircraft and provide supporting documentation and training to allow and support the aircraft operation.
