Description

Soft Market Test for the Supply of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

Please note this is a Soft Market Test (SMT) and not a call for competition.

Leicester City Council would like to hear from any organisations willing to share information about their VDI Solutions and offerings in this area.

This will enable the Council to gain a better understanding of the solutions available in the market and the functionality they have with the different methods in which they could be supplied to the Council.

The Soft Market Test will help Leicester City Council which is at an early stage in development of its proposals, but prior to formulating any formal procurement opportunity, seeks input from the market as to what might be the most potentially attractive way of packaging and scoping a future procurement opportunity.

As such the Council is undertaking this soft market testing exercise to engage with relevant organisations that offer such solutions by providing responses to a set of questions in this document, and as a result will assist the Council in developing an options appraisal for the future.

Potential bidders will not be prejudiced by any response or failure to respond to the soft market test or attend any subsequent meetings. Potential bidders must also note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an invitation to participate in this or any future procurement that Leicester City Council may conduct, nor will Leicester City Council procure any such supply and services or accept any proposals offered. Any procurement of the supply and services by Leicester City Council will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

Should you feel your company can contribute to this test then please complete the questionnaire at the end of the document form (link to the document is below) and return to Rebecca.cowan@leicester.gov.uk by the deadline set.

Only responses on the form below will be accepted, no marketing material will be considered.

This should be returned by 1200hrs on 29th July 2016 at the very latest.

Organisations are asked to regularly check this opportunity on Source Leicestershire for any updates. Any advertised opportunity might be updated or removed at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

Applicants should note that due to the technicality of the software package being used to create this advert, this Opportunity will become “invisible” at midnight, 28th July 2016. Applicants are therefore requested to save all documentation relating to this Opportunity locally.
