The work we are tendering for will be: twenty four hour home care provision for older and disabled people (including those funded by Health for ongoing long term health conditions); end of life care at home; reablement; and provision of home care at three extra care housing schemes.
The work does not include: provision for people with a learning disability; provision for people with poor mental health; or provision for people funded by health and social care due to complex needs.
The contract will be a spot purchase contract.
The geographical area in question for the delivery of home care comprises:
— Banwell,
— Hewish,
— Kewstoke,
— Locking,
— Wick St Lawrence and
— Worle
There are approximately 3 000 home care hours delivered in this area currently. Please note that this is the first of four tenders for domiciliary care in North Somerset, it is planned that the other three will be staggered across 2016 so that they will all be let by the end of that year.
The Extra care schemes included in this tender are:
Lakeside Court, Jasmine Way, Worle, BS24 7JW — 33 one bedroom and two bedroom rented apartments, approximately 330 hours currently provided per week
Diamond Court, Diamond Batch, Worle, BS24 7AY — 53 one and two bedroom apartments, approximately 580 hours currently provided per week
Worle Scheme, Trenleigh Drive, Worle, BS22 6LT — 64 one and two bedroom apartments and Wellness Centre, approximately 700 hours of home care per week anticipated and the Wellness centre expected to provide at least 150 hours of day opportunities across the week.
The Provider is required to accept and commence all new Packages from the Commencement Date. All existing Packages will be transferred to the Provider on a phased basis from the Commencement Date until 28.2.2016.

This tender is being managed via the procurement portal www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk. You must submit your expression of interest and in turn your submitted tender via this portal. All questions with regards this tender must also be posed using the Q&A on the portal.

The closing date for this tender is 12:00 on Tuesday 11th August at 12:00. Late submissions will not be accepted.
