Hillingdon intends to tender a contract for 5 years the delivery of a range of 24 hour supported living services for people with learning disabilities. The long term intention is to move from residential or nursing care provision to a supported living re-ablement model where service users are supported to develop their independence to enable them to step down to an environment with less support.

The Tender will be conducted in 3 Lots and submissions can be accepted for one or all Lots: Lot 1 — Herne House, Horton Road, Church Road (LD high needs), Lot 2 — Yew Tree Lodge (LD high needs), Lot 3 — Hyde House, Honey Croft Hill (LD high and low needs). The Councils aim is to select 1 Service Provider per lot (maximum of 2 lots to any single provider) to provide the full range of services needed.

The three schemes that make up this lot include Herne House and 7-9 Horton Road which are existing supported living schemes, and Church Road which is currently being developed to the become a new supported living scheme.
