The supported living service for people with mental ill health at 49 Bayham Street. The service will support residents of Camden who have a severe and enduring mental illness (such as psychotic disorders, bipolar affective disorder and personality disorder) to move from a hospital, rehabilitation or forensic facility to the community through recovery and rehabilitation programmes.
The service will support people to prepare for and settle into more independent accommodation in the community through liaison with mental health, primary care, housing, substance misuse, reablement, day and employment services. Clients will benefit from person centred support that is tailored to their recovery journey and builds strong networks within the community. The expectation is that the project will enable the majority of clients to move to more independent settings.

It plays a vital role in enabling people to learn practical and coping skills necessary for independent living following a period of illness or extended institutional care.
