To enable the planned incremental occupation of the Crick building following Practical Completion in November 2015, it will be necessary commence the installation of non-laboratory furniture prior to this date.
For the purpose of this tender, system furniture is deemed to include all desks, tables, chairs and non-specialised storage units within laboratory write-up spaces, PI, dry-worker and laboratory support offices, administration and non-scientific support spaces in addition to meeting rooms.
Task chairs, laboratory stools and meeting room furniture will be included as an option.
This procurement package will exclude ‘loose furniture’ associated with the Collaboration and Restaurant spaces.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

To enable the planned incremental occupation of the Crick building following Practical Completion in November 2015, it will be necessary commence the installation of non-laboratory furniture prior to this date.
For the purpose of this PQQ, system furniture is deemed to include all desks, tables, chairs and non-specialised storage units within laboratory write-up spaces, PI, dry-worker and laboratory support offices, administration and non-scientific support spaces in addition to meeting rooms.
Task chairs, laboratory stools and meeting room furniture will be included as an option.
This procurement package will exclude “loose furniture” associated with the Collaboration and Restaurant spaces.
If invited to submit a tender the Crick will require the potential bidder to disclose all discounts agreed with individual furniture suppliers.
This procurement package will be a single stage tender with fixed prices for specified furniture based on the drawings and specification that will be issued by the clients design team as part of the ITT.
In addition to the above the shortlisted bidders will be required to:
— Price additional furniture elements as optional client selected items.
— Provide for client and design team visits to manufacturing plants, reference sites and show rooms.
— Complete the clients design and adapt their standard products to comply with the clients requirements.
— Provide for mock-ups to be installed at the Crick as part of the tender evaluation.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 2 000 000 and 3 000 000 GBP
