1)Short description
The successful tenderer will be required to provide a 24-hour taxi service for the duration of the contract period. The service provided must be promptly executed and shall include the conveyance of patients, staff and light goods as required. The ‘light goods’ may include documents, records, pharmaceutical goods, samples etc.

The majority of journeys will be undertaken in the local area. The ‘local area’ consists of the 5 boroughs of Wandsworth, Kingston, Richmond, Sutton and Merton. A typical journey will be within a 5 mile radius of Trust sites in this area. It is anticipated that the volume of taxi journeys will be approximately 1 000 per month.

The courier service to be provided will consist of taking goods, samples, documents etc. to various locations in the local area on a scheduled delivery route and will require dedicated resources.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: The Authority will apply all the offences listed in Article 45(1) of Directive 2004/18/EC (implemented as Regulation 23(1) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2006 in the UK) and all of the professional misconducts listed at Article 45(2) of Directive 2004/18/EC (see also Regulation 23(2) in the PCR 2006) to the decision of whether a Candidate is eligible to be invited to tender.
