Taxi services. The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust is looking for expressions of Interest in the form of a completed PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire available from the address in section I.1) from Contractors that can provide a Taxi / car hire service for the conveyance of patients and light goods to and from the Ipswich Hospital.
— The conveyance of patients will be to/from the Ipswich Hospital to their destination, or from one Hospital site to another, both on a routine or adhoc basis and will involve the transportation of patients, wheelchairs and patients in wheelchairs,
— The conveyance of light goods from one Hospital to another will be both on a routine or adhoc basis.
Both services will need to be available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and 365/6 days a year. The response time for any adhoc request must not exceed 20 minutes and any routine request must be collected and delivered within an agreed 5 minute window.
Where adhoc or routine Medical/Pathological/Pharmaceutical specimens/goods are conveyed the vehicle driver will be required to collect from and deliver to named personnel within the Hospital premises e.g. from Laboratory Department to Laboratory Department unless otherwise stated.
It is envisaged that the successful Contractor will have a range of suitable vehicles available to meet the needs of the Trust and its patients.

It is estimated that the value of the contract over the initial 3 year period may be between 150 000 gbp to 300 000 gbp, although the exact figure is unknown due to restructuring of current services.
