Technical testing, analysis and consultancy services. Asbestos removal services. The University of Bath invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified firms of consultants for asbestos consultancy services. Services to be provided include: continuing consultancy and advice, surveys for refurbishment projects, reinspection of existing asbestos containing materials (ACMs) logged on the University’s database, supervision of and/or project management of asbestos removal works, preparation of specifications and tender documents, undertaking 4 stage clearance tests, provision of air tests, material sampling (both reactive and bulk) and advice on training. Advice on legislative compliance. The central core of the University’s estate (approx. 110 000 m²) was constructed in the late 1960s and early 1970s and includes residual elements of spray applied asbestos as well as extensive examples of asbestos insulation board and other ACMs. Demonstration of previous experience of providing continuous asbestos consultancy Services and preparation and auditing of asbestos management plans and procedures in a higher education, NHS or similar high profile environment is essential.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: The Authority will apply all the offences listed in Article 45(1) of Directive 2004/18/EC (implemented as Regulation 23(1) of the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2006 in the UK) and all of the professional misconducts listed at Article 45(2) of Directive 2004/18/EC (see also Regulation 23(2) in the PCR 2006) to the decision of whether a Candidate is eligible to be invited to tender.
