It is the Council’s intention to enter into Agreements with Providers for Care at Home and Housing Support Services to meet the requirements covered by this Tender document under which specific purchases (call-ons) can be made. The specific purchases will be for new services called on from the commencement date.
The Agreements will cover the four geographical areas listed below. The Council is seeking to appoint up to four Providers in each of the four geographical areas within South Lanarkshire. Providers may submit bids to provide the Service in all or any geographical area.
Clydesdale, Rutherglen/Cambuslang, Hamilton/Larkhall/Blantyre, East Kilbride.

A previously described. The Council is seeking to appoint up to four Providers in the Clydesdale area within South Lanarkshire.

The Agreements will be for an initial three year period with the Council reserving the option to extend the Agreements for a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. There will be no price changes for the duration of this Agreement.
It is anticipated that the level of Service purchased through the Tender will be approximately £3.7m over the 3 year duration. The Council cannot guarantee the exact level of Services to be purchased. This is indicative only.
For the Clydesdale area it is anticipated that this will rise to approximately 500 hours per week in the first year of the Agreement and proportionately over the duration of the Agreement.

2. if not already registered to deliver Care at Home and Housing Support in South Lanarkshire, in particular, to agree to do so within 6 months of the Commencement Date;
3. have in place an electronic call monitoring system; or
4. if successful in this tender, agree to install a system within the first year from the Commencement Date.
