The objectives of this procurement are:

— to provide a regional service in which music therapy will support Children living with a Disability who present with behaviours which can challenge,

— the service will be aligned to Family Support / LAC Plans coordinated by the Trusts,

— the objective is to provide an additional therapy based intervention to assist in supporting Children living with a Disability / behaviour which challenges using music therapy to support augmentative communication and behaviour strategies,

— the service should reflect the key principles of positive behaviour support models in that: o Increases the individual’s quality of life, inclusion and participation:

—— defends and supports valued social roles;

—— uses principles and procedures from behaviour analysis to assess and support behaviour change and other complementary, evidence-based approaches.

The initial contract is 36 months with the potential to extend for 2 x 12 month periods. The estimated value of. this contract for 3 years is 300 000 GBP if the extensions were invoked the value could potentially be 500 000 GBP. There is also a potential for a 15% uplift in programme and activity costs as stated in the B document, therefore, the value could range from 300 000 GBP to 575 000 GBP.
