Management & Operational arrangements and Development of St Mary’s Lighthouse and Visitor Centre with the potential opportunity to enhance the current offer on the island.
The Council is inviting expressions of interest on a Service Concession basis from suitable experienced organisations who shall be fully responsible for the long term operational and development of St Mary’s Lighthouse & Visitor Centre. The successful bidder whilst enhancing the current offer shall be expected to maximise the revenues yielded through the Lighthouse & Visitor Centre with bidders expected to assume the commercial risk associated with the financial returns associated with the financial returns generated.
The Contract is envisaged to commence in July of this year. The period of the Contract will be a minimum of five years and shall be determined by negotiation. An indication from interested parties of the preferred length of Contract will be required at a later stage.
After the expression of Interest period has passed bidders will be issued with a Pre-Qualification questionnaire & request for outline solution documentation (PQQ-RFOS) with details of the selection criteria to be applied to parties requesting an interest to participate in the exercise provided.
An informal drop-in opportunity will also be available on 8th February 2013 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for any interested party who may wish to seek further clarity regarding the opportunity and the procurement process to be followed in this particular instance. The drop in will be available at the Council’s Headquarters at: North Tyneside Council, Quadrant, The Silverlink North, Cobalt Business Park, North Tyneside NE27 0BY
