Police Now is a charity whose mission is to transform communities, reduce crime and increase public confidence in policing, by recruiting and developing an outstanding and diverse group of individuals to be leaders in society and on the policing frontline. Police Now delivers its mission through a two-year National leadership development programme which recruits, trains and develops the very best graduates and career changers into outstanding neighbourhood police officers.
Following the launch of the Police education qualifications framework, Police Now seeks a partner HEI who can:
Work with Police Now to co-deliver a 2-year graduate programme, accredited at Level 6 as a Graduate diploma in Professional policing practice
Demonstrate expertise in topics and skills that currently feature in the Police Now curriculum, such as criminology, evidence-based policing, communication skills, digital policing
Be open to innovative methods of learning and assessment.
Help us develop a programme and learning package suitable for distance learning.
Deliver training over geographically disparate areas.
Work closely with the Police Now programme team to ensure that session content and delivery is in line with Police Now’s ethos and policing’s unique values.
Recognise the specific skills and needs of our participants as learners and newly appointed police constables working in the neighbourhood policing context.
