The Specialist CAMHS services at Tier 3 will have a central role to play in achieving Improvement in the mental health of all children and young people within Calderdale and Kirklees by:
Ensuring all children, young people and their families have access to mental health care based upon the best available evidence and provided by staff with an appropriate range of skills and competencies.
Supporting services across all agencies to work effectively in partnership improve the mental health of all children and young people, provide early intervention and also meet the needs of children and young people with established or complex problems.
We are seeking to commission a service which delivers support as locally as possible provides the most effective treatment and care provides the right support for Children and Young People involves children, young people and their families makes the best use of resources and provides value for money.
The service is to be delivered to children and young people up to the age of 18, and their families, living in the boroughs of Kirklees and Calderdale County Council area and registered with a Kirklees/Calderdale GP.
We require a CAMH service which is accessible and responsive and delivered for those with the most severe mental health problems and disorders, including well coordinated multi-agency responses for those with multiple and complex difficulties.
The successful provider will play an influential role in shaping services across all tiers, in will liaising with commissioners and providers of Tier 4 services, and adult services and managing the transitions between these services and tier 3 services.
The provider will have a key role in improving safeguarding of children and young people and especially looked after children.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver flexible, effective services that reflect and respond to the needs of children and young people, their families and other stakeholders within and outside Tier 3 CAMHS.
The successful provider will be able to demonstrate that they can deliver a CAMH service which is accessible and responsive for those with the most severe mental health problems and disorders, including well coordinated multi-agency responses for those with multiple and complex difficulties.
The service will be culturally sensitive, based on the best available evidence, and provided by staff equipped with the relevant knowledge and skills.
