The exhibition will take place in Gallery 39 and North Court at the V&A in South Kensington. For more background about the exhibition, please refer to Part A of the ITT.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

The V&A is seeking to appoint a provider with the appropriate experience, ability, capacity, capability and resources to provide audio-visual (AV) hardware and associated services for the temporary exhibition ‘Videogames’ (working title). The exhibition will take place in Gallery 39 and North Court at the V&A in South Kensington. For more background about the exhibition, please refer to Part A of the ITT.

AV hardware is key to the success of this exhibition and the V&A are looking to appoint a provider who can deliver the required hardware and are able to ensure its performance throughout the duration of the exhibition. The AV hardware will be used to deliver a range of different digital content and software including: large-scale video installations, video content, playable games, digital images, interactive content. All hardware and software in the exhibition must be durable and robust, to sustain long periods of use and concentrated visitor interaction throughout the exhibition and to ensure a high standard of visitor experience.

The initial contract is for:

— Supply of AV Hardware for the duration of the exhibition including install / deinstall period.

— Replacement of AV Hardware for the duration of the exhibition including install / deinstall period when there is a fault OR to carry out all maintenance to the AV hardware to include ensuring that it is focused, running and integrated with the build.

The contract has the option to include the following by means of variation:

— Extension of the above services for an additional exhibition of the same content at a Scottish partner museum.
