Description of the goods or services required

This is a project to develop and pilot one of three coaching and mentoring systems that support talent management for the Asset Skills sector. This tender invites companies to submit proposals for the development, pilot delivery of one of these models and the completion of an employer toolkit based on the model, appropriate to the industries represented in the Asset Skills sector. The three broad industry areas to be addressed are: Housing; Property and Planning; and Facilities Management and Cleaning (incorporating Pest control and Parking). Total quantity or scope of tender

5.1 The aims of this specific project are to:

– Develop three models of coaching and mentoring that support talent management for the Asset Skills sector. Our vision is that coaching activity is undertaken which seeks to develop specific skills that individuals need in order to either make the most of their talents, fill skills gaps, or to support their work in implementing talent management programmes in their own company. The coaching activity should be supported by a mentoring programme that will give individuals the opportunity to be inspired, encouraged and developed in a general way by peers.

– Ensure that the specific needs of the industries are addressed by providing bespoke solutions that relate to individual industries.

– Overcome obstacles and issues with access to coaching and mentoring

– Pilot the new models of coaching and mentoring with a minimum of six employers and 30 individuals within the Asset Skills sector.

– On successful completion of the project, make available information on case studies and an employer toolkit which will be freely available on the Asset Skills website.

– The project is UK wide.

There is £30,000 per model available, a total of £90,000.
