To provide services in relation to the statutory planning process and planning applications for various projects arising from the Estates Development Vision (EDV) Vision Implementation Plan (VIP). This is a programme of projects across the University’s major campuses that may include a range of requirements from new academic buildings, refurbishments of existing assets, student residential accommodation and works to external grounds and areas. It is not envisaged that all projects will require submission of a planning application. The Employer intends appointing one supplier.

— provide strategic advice on planning strategy and issues across the University’s estate development programme,

— advise on emerging national and local planning policies impacting on the University’s estates programme,

— maintain productive relationships with local planning representatives and stakeholders,

— manage all aspects of the planning process from pre-app stage, full application through to discharge of planning conditions.
