1)Short description

This area of development focuses on helping staff to improve and develop individual core skills related to a specific subject area or skill set. The aim is to increase capacity to carry out the elements of their job role increasing and or improving performance. Examples that may be regularly required are time management confidence building and communicating effectively. It may be that an individual has a specific project or piece of work they need to achieve and are unable to do this without developing particular core skills.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Lot 2: Operational management coaching for first line and middle level managers

1)Short description

Coaching support for managers within the organisation who require development of managerial skills to perform their day to day management duties effectively. This level of coaching is applicable for new managers with no previous management experience or instead little experience at a certain level of management i.e. a first line manager who has moved into a middle management role. The coaching can act as a means of confidence building for a manager where they may be having difficulties with some elements of their role i.e. managing performance. It may also help managers to progress towards greater responsibility.

1)Short description

This area of development focuses on moving middle managers to a further level of management either preparing for a senior leadership role in the future or creating a behavioural shift helping middle level managers from an operational to a strategic leadership approach. Senior managers in this setting are most likely to be new to senior management. Also applicable are managers requiring development to enable them to lead their team and wider department or area in implementing and accepting change.

1)Short description

The focus of this coaching will usually be on organizational performance or development but may also serve a personal component. The outcome would be the provision of behavioural insights intended to accelerate an executives business results and effectiveness as a leader. For some Executives it may be an aid to enhance career prospects and opportunities.

1)Short description

Coaching will be provided using the Insights discovery or comparable behavioural model. This will provide a platform for the individuals and teams to reflect upon their current behavioural preferences and the impact of these on their interactions both individually and as a team. Specifically the coaching will utilise the Discovering Personal Effectiveness and Discovering Team effectiveness profiling tools.

Individuals will normally be in employment at junior to middle manager level and will be undertaking learning and development provided by the University Corporate and Professional Education unit this learning and development may be accredited or non-accredited. If accredited it would be at Undergraduate level.

1)Short description

This area of development applied to individuals undertaking high level transformational coaching as part of the provision of development through the Universitys Corporate and Professional Education unit. Individuals will be in senior or executive roles and may be based in the UK or overseas. Tenderers for this lot must be able to evidence an understanding of, and experience in, executive level transformational coaching in an organisational setting and must be able to demonstrate flexibility in terms of travel and time.
