Tree-maintenance services. Tree pruning and hedge trimming. Tree pruning. Tree-clearing services. Tree-cutting services. North Hertfordshire District Council requires a contractor to provide tree maintenance services by way of a framework arrangement. North Hertfordshire is located less than 40 miles from Central London and is predominantly a rural district. The rural section of the district covers 127 square miles and has boundaries with Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Essex.
The services will be undertaken in packages of work and each package will be offered to the organisation whose tender is evaluated, in accordance with the terms of tender documents, as being the most economically advantageous to the Council. The services will comprise of predominantly crown thinning, formative pruning, crown cleaning, crown reduction, crown lifting, pruning overhanging branches, tree felling, tree dismantling, hazard tree removal and stump grinding. If that organisation cannot take a particular package of work then it will be offered to the organisation offering the next most economically advantageous tender; and so on.
Services will be required throughout the North Hertfordshire District and the contract shall be for a term of 4 years commencing on 1.4.2013.

III.1)Conditions relating to the contract
III.1.1)Deposits and guarantees required:
Group, parent or ultimate holding organisation of a tenderer must be prepared to guarantee performance of the tenderer direct with the Council to the extent that such group, parent or ultimate holding organisation assumes responsibility for performance of all contractual obligations and requirements and by execution of the ABI model guarantee bond as annexed to the Contract. The works will be allocated in batches and payment will be made on receipt of an invoice and only when the batch of works has been completed.
