The Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who are able to maintain and service the trees within the Borough of Rotherham. The successful supplier/s will be required to provide a professional, timely and efficient service and be able to accommodate quick unscheduled works as well as a 24 hour 7 day a week emergency service throughout the Borough of Rotherham.
This Framework agreement relates to Council-wide tree maintenance including highways, parks and open spaces, Housing areas and schools.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council provides a high quality arboricultural service which is vital to maintain a tree and woodland-rich environment supporting as many amenity, landscape, wildlife, economic , cultural and social benefits as possible for all the people of Rotherham,
The Council is directly responsible for an extensive tree population, including 6,000 roadside trees and elsewhere, a further estimated 70,000 individual trees in housing estates, schools together with parks and open spaces.
The Council is seeking expressions of interest from suppliers who are able to maintain and service the trees within the Borough of Rotherham. The successful supplier/s will be required to provide a professional, timely and efficient service and be able to accommodate quick unscheduled works as well as a 24 hour 7 day a week emergency service throughout the Borough of Rotherham.
This Framework agreement relates to Council-wide tree maintenance including highways, parks and open spaces, Housing areas and schools.
The total spend over the duration of the agreement is expected to be around 500 000 GBP, however this does not carry any guarantee of turnover and any estimated volume of business is indicative and may vary upwards or downwards depending on Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council’s actual future needs.
The agreement will be for a period of 12 months with the option to extend for a further 3 no. 12 month periods.
This invitation is made on behalf of Rotherham Borough Council and all of the other local authorities in the United Kingdom (collectively described where the context requires as “the Contracting Authorities”) who may wish to utilise the services of the successful Tenderer (s).’
