III.2.2)Economic and financial ability

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: Tenderers’ will be assessed in accordance with Part V of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 (SI 2006/5) which implement Title 2 Chapter 7 Section 2 of the 2004/18/EC Directive on the basis of information provided in response to the invitation to tender. Completed responses to the Invitation to Tender must be returned via the Defra eTendering Service (further details of which are available at Section III.2.1 of this OJEU Notice) before the deadline for receipt of responses as notified in Section IV.3.4 of this OJEU Notice.
Minimum level(s) of standards possibly required: 1. The Authority will also consider annual turnover. For this procurement, the Authority expects the Suppliers to have an annual turnover for each of the last two financial years of at least equivalent to twice the Reference Value as set out in Table 4 of the ITT for the Geographical Lot bid for, or if multiple Geographical Lots bid for twice the combined Reference Values for the Geographical Lots bid for.
In the case of a joint venture or a consortium bid, the annual turnover is calculated by combining the turnover of the relevant consortium members in each of the last two financial years. This combined turnover figure should be at least equivalent to twice the Reference Value as set out in Table 4 of the ITT for the Geographical Lot bid for, or if multiple Geographical Lots are bid for the twice the combined Reference Values for the Geographical Lots bid for.
2. Tenderers will be required, at the commencement date of the Contract, to have adequate level of relevant insurance cover as stated in the ITT.
