The University is seeking to appoint an operator to provide onsite catering services, for our Luton, Bedford and other campuses as required. The intention is that the contract will be let on a 1 year capped subsidy basis on a 3 + 2 year contract. The University plans to agree a 1-year fixed subsidy price, which will be used as the benchmark for agreeing subsequent years and expects to share in any savings generated. The ideal partner should aim to provide a service that engages the student and staff population. The offering should aim to be first choice, be customer focussed and takes into account the ethnic diversity and brand consciousness of the student and staff population. The key aim is to increase student and staff sales through promotions and innovation in service delivery and choices. The service provider will also be required to work closely with BedsSU to provide the best experience possible for our students.

Precise information on deadline(s) for review procedures:

The University of Bedfordshire will incorporate a standstill period from the date when the information on the award of the contract is communicated to the tenderers. The notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period will be for a minimum of 10 (ten) calendar days, this provides time for the unsuccessful tenderer to take any action they deem necessary should they feel aggrieved, before any contract is entered into. The Public Contract Regulations provide for the aggrieved parties to take action. Any action must be brought within the applicable time periods.
